“Education is not the learning of facts but the training of mind to think."
-Albert Einstein
It is no secret that we are at the forefront of one of the most exciting and promising stages in history. Explosion of information coupled with breathtaking advances in technology and globalization of markets have thrown open opportunities for growth and prosperity for the whole society. Having said this, the question that has constantly motivated me in my pursuit towards excellence as an educator for the last two decades is, "Does our education system equip today’s students adequately with the necessary skills to take advantage of the immense opportunity and also deal with the accompanying challenges with confidence and empathy?"
I am aware that the 'winners' or 'thrivers' of the 21st century will be those who possess strong analytical skills, a knack for foresight as problem seekers, adequate creativity and most necessarily good people skills that make them humane in their thoughts and action.
If we were to achieve this, I believe the single most important idea for revolutionizing education concerns a change in thought. It is to shift the focus from one of making a system that teaches children a curriculum more efficiently to one of making the system more effective by inspiring lifelong learning in students that empowers them to have full and productive lives in a rapidly shifting economy.
In order to match this need and keep abreast with the changing trends in education across the world, we at GDMIS would constantly look for ways to make learning interesting for all. It is proven that a student’s interest can be directly correlated with achievement. I firmly believe in the unique potential of every child. All children possess something invaluable and their innate talents are waiting to be unleashed. There is a leader within every child who has something worthy and significant to contribute. My personal and professional goal is to motivate each student to learn and follow their passion, as whatever is learned through motivation of passion remains a permanent learning experience.
The long illustrious history and grand achievements of GDMIS stand testimony to the incredible work done here! Value systems can be best established and assimilated for life only when one is young. The portals of great schools like GDMIS are the vehicles that make this vision a reality.
As the Principal of GDMIS , I look forward to continuing the long-standing tradition of excellence that has been established over the years. I promise to provide a learning environment that is positive, safe, caring and engaging for all. My goal is to invest time in getting to know everyone in the GDMIS Community - students, parents, alumni members, teachers, staffs, and community members. The members at GDMIS will continue to work together relentlessly with the priority of having every student’s best interest at heart.
My message to all parents is to stay connected and involved. We will strive to consistently make sure you are aware of your child’s progress, and answer any questions or concerns you have at any time. I want to assure you that we are together in this noble task of bringing up global citizens and are partners in ensuring the success of every child’s education and well-being. I am sure our vision of students emerging as fine contributing citizens of tomorrow would materialize with your cooperation and support.
My interest would be to create educational facilities with a cutting-edge technology that adequately address the current and future needs of our students. I would like to associate myself with schools that learn, schools like GDMIS that will constantly scan the environment, think ahead and tirelessly work on a school design that would rise to meet the challenges and ensure the delivery of a successful educational programme for the future!
With Profound Regards,
